WHO WE ARE

Formed just before the Scottish Elections in 2021 and led by the Former First Minister Alex Salmond, the ALBA Party was founded with one aim - to end the stalemate that had developed between the Scottish and UK Governments over the future of Scotland.
Ever since our inception we have called for a united approach on independence because Scotland's future is more important than any single party.
As Westminster continues to drive Scotland into economic despair, it is ever more imperitive that we chart a way forward to a fairer and more prosperous nation through independence.

ALBA Member Updates
Elections to the ALBA Party Conference Committee, Conduct Committee, Appeals Committee and Finance & Audit Committee will take place on Sunday June 1st 2025.
All ALBA Party Members were eligible to be put forward to stand for election to these committees. Only ALBA Members were able to make nominations and the nomination process closed at 12 noon on 29th of May 2025.
Only delegates to ALBA National Council on June 1st will be eligible to vote in these elections. More information will be posted in the ALBA Members Hub.
